We are interested in the Neurobiology of Taste. My lab is trying to explore deeper into the mechanisms of central and peripheral taste coding using Drosophila. We are also investigating how various intrinsic and extrinsic factors modulate taste behavior.
Shivam Kaushik
Research Associate
Shivam is a M.Tech student. He is interested in understanding the functional role of neuronal circuits involved in memory formation in the brain to develop therapeutic strategies and tools for the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders like dementia.
Zoha Sadaqat
Research Associate
Zoha has completed her Master’s from Department of Genetics, University of Delhi. She has a keen interest in exploring more about neurological disorder specifically Alzheimer’s disease and its effect on neural circuits in the brain.
Pooja Joshi
Research Intern
Currently Pooja is doing her M.Tech in Biotechnology. She is interested in getting training to understand the gut-brain axis to dissect the novel taste neural circuits that convey taste information from the gut to the brain.
Modhumita Ganguli
Research Intern
Modhumita is pursuing M.Tech in Biotechnology.She is interested in inflammatory biology and neurodegenerative disorders.
